Ricky Kwong is a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in graphic design, fashion, and art direction. After earning his degree in Design & Media Arts from UCLA, he spent years immersed in digital work—until he felt the itch to step away from the screen and make something with his hands.

Though he grew up drawing and painting, he had never touched clay until he signed up for a beginner pottery class in 2016, just for fun. What started as a casual hobby quickly turned into a creative outlet: Bowl Cut Ceramics (named for what most of his early pieces looked like - a bit wonky, yet oddly charming). Though his technique has evolved over the years, Bowl Cut still stays true to its roots—playful, full of personality, and proudly a little offbeat.
